Keep Safe Meeting at the Warning Zone

CalendarThe Keep Safe Sub Group are planning to have their next meeting at the Warning Zone on Thursday 23rd July 2015 from 10.30 – 12pm
Warning Zone, 30 Frog Island, Leicester LE3 5AG

The Warning Zone is a place to learn about being safe in the home and when your out and about.  Click here to  find out the bus routes to the Warning Zone.   If you need a lift to the Warning Zone, there will be some transport from County Hall.  Please ring Janie on 07712 321554 to get more information.

Do you want to help plan the next Speaking for myself confrence?

CalendarSpeaking up for myself supports people with learning disabilities in Leicestershire.  We are planning to have a confrence next March 2016.
Come along to the next planning meeting and make new friends and learn new skills.

Meetings are on fridays from 1 – 3pm at LCIL centre, Andrew Street, Leicester LE3 5PA on  5th June, 31st July, 25th September, 30th October, 27th November, 18th December, 29th January, 26th Febuary

No voice unheard, no right ignored

NHS ConsultationThe Department of Health wants to know what people think about some ideas to make things better for people with learning disabilities. Leicestershire County Council is going to tell the Department of Health what the Council thinks about the Department of Health ideas. The Council would like to know what people with learning disabilities and families think and help the Council decide what to say. Please read No voice unheard  to find out how to have your say.

Voting on Thursday 7th of May?

Voting Ballot BoxThere is a general election across the whole of the UK.  If you are over 18 and have registered, you can have your say and vote.
Manifestos tell you what a political party believes in and what they will do if they win an election.
Easy read party manifestos been made by the main political parties to help you decided who to vote for.  Please share these with people you know.

NHS ConsultationThe Department of Health are asking people what needs to happen to make the lives of people with learning disabilities better.  Click here to see an  Easy Read_Information_Booklet which says what the Department of Health thinks should happen.
