We have recently been making easy read documents that would be interesting to many people with learning disabilities. Please help to make these more widely known by passing this email on to colleagues who work with people who have difficulty in reading.

Please share this with other people who you think may be interested in this work.  If you are a young person and want to complete the questionnaire but need some support to do it, ask someone you know to help you.

The Mental Capacity (Amendment) Bill is now law

The Mental Capacity (Amendment) Bill has now been given the Royal Assent. We made an easy read version of the Bill to help people with learning disabilities to understand more about this important law. Click here to download the easy read version of the bill.

The BBC is looking for young musicians

The BBC is looking for young people to apply to be ‘Young Musician 2020’. This is a great opportunity for young people. The BBC is keen to get applications from young disabled musicians.  We created this easy read application pack for them. Click here to download it.

What folk said about giving people the right to have an integrated personal budget

The NHS has been looking at whether people should be given the right to have a personal health budget or an integrated personal budget which would cover both health and social care needs. There was a consultation document earlier this year. Recently they wrote a report to tell us what people said in the consultation. We made an easy read version of this report for them.
